Who we are and what this covers
GoatedLeads is an Australian pay per lead service. We sell enquiries from Australians who want to buy an investment property to one advisory firm at a time.
This policy covers goatedleads.com.au and the lead service behind it. It applies to two groups of people: the advisory firms that enquire with us, and the investors who ask to be contacted through our advertising. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect from advisory firms
When you use the enquiry form on this site we collect your name, your business name, your mobile number, your email address, the description of your business you pick, the cities or regions you buy in for clients, your state, how many investor consultations a week you can take, what you spend on marketing now, and anything you type into the notes field.
If you go on to buy leads from us we also keep a record of the price agreed, the leads sent to you, any leads you flag, invoices and payments, and the messages between us.
What we collect from investors
Our advertising invites people who want to buy an investment property to ask for a call from an adviser. When someone does, we collect their name, mobile number and email address, the budget range they state, the deposit or equity position they state, the timeframe they give, the locations they are interested in, and the time the enquiry came in.
We also keep a consent record of what the person agreed to when they sent the enquiry, the results of the checks we run before the enquiry is sent on, and a delivery record of which business received it and when.
Everything an investor tells us about their finances is what they stated themselves. We do not verify it against any bank, lender or credit file.
How we use it
We use advisory firm information to price a campaign, to send the leads, to check quality, to bill, to answer questions and to keep the records a business has to keep.
We use investor information to check that the enquiry is real and complete, to match it to one advisory firm that works in the location and price range the investor gave, to deliver it to that firm, to handle any flag raised about it, and to keep the record of what happened.
We do not sell personal information to anyone. We do not build lists for other purposes. We do not use an investor's details for anything except delivering that one enquiry and keeping the record of it.
Who receives it
The one advisory firm the lead is delivered to receives the investor's name, mobile, email, budget range, deposit or equity position, timeframe and location interest. No other firm receives that enquiry.
Advisory firm details are not passed to anyone except the providers below.
We use a hosting provider, an email delivery provider, an SMS provider and an analytics provider to run this site and deliver enquiries. Each receives only what it needs for its part.
Lead data is stored in Australia. Some providers may process information overseas, including in the United States, for example to send an email or record an analytics event. We choose providers with their own privacy commitments, and where personal information goes overseas we take reasonable steps to keep it handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.
We do not give advice
GoatedLeads does not provide financial product advice, credit assistance or property advice. We introduce an investor to one advisory firm. The firm the lead is delivered to is responsible for its own licensing, for the advice it gives, and for how it handles the investor's information once it has received it.
Cookies and analytics
We use PostHog to see how this site is used: the pages viewed, the links clicked, how far the enquiry form got, and the browser and device type. PostHog stores an identifier in your browser so it can tell a returning visit from a new one.
If you send an enquiry we may link your email address to that identifier so we can see which pages led to it.
We set no advertising cookies. Our advertising runs on other platforms, and any cookie those platforms set is governed by their own policies.
You can block analytics with a tracking blocker in your browser. The site works the same either way.
Storage, security and retention
Lead data is stored in Australia. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure.
We keep information for as long as it is needed to deliver enquiries, to bill, to resolve any flag or dispute, and to meet record keeping obligations. After that it is deleted or de-identified.
Access and correction
You can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Send the request through the enquiry form on this site. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on it. We respond within 30 days.
If you are an investor and want your enquiry withdrawn, tell us and we will stop any further contact from our side and tell the advisory firm the lead was delivered to. That firm handles its own records.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first through the enquiry form on this site. We will look into it and reply in writing.
If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We update this policy when the service changes. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
