What is a qualified investor lead?

The short answer

A qualified investor lead is an enquiry in which the investor has stated a goal, a budget range, a deposit or equity position, a timeframe and a location interest. The mobile has also been checked as a working Australian number. That is what the word means at GoatedLeads, and it needs a firm meaning, because it is used loosely in this market.

Qualified does not mean finance approved. Nobody has run a credit check. Nobody has spoken to a lender. The budget and the equity are figures the investor gave in their own words, and they are recorded as stated. A supplier who tells you a lead is pre approved is either doing a lender's job or stretching the word. Ask which.

What the fields do is change the first call. When you know the goal, the budget range, the equity and the timeframe before you dial, the call is a strategy conversation rather than a fact finding one. You can decide before you ring whether this investor fits the firm. That is the point of paying for a qualified lead over a name on a list: the basic questions have been asked, and the investor expects a call.
